Abstract:
We discuss the effect on the LE neutrino flux due to multiple scattering in the decay pipe window and chase air.
We present several possible modifications to increase neutrino flux, such as a thin window
with Helium in the decay pipe, a reducing 'stub' on the decay pipe with a smaller diameter, and thinner
vacuum window. The impact of Helium on star densities in the rock is investigated.
In the best case, that of a vacuum pipe extention, the potential gain in neutrino flux is $\sim~10-12\%$.
